Hand Knit Socks with Double Pointed Needles

Two 2-hour classes

Session 1: Wednesday, October 20, 27, 3:00–5:00

Session 2: Tuesdays, December 14, 21, 3:00–5:00

Prerequisite: Intermediate, with a mastery basics of knitting (k, p, co, bo, inc, dec.)

Experience with knitting in the round is helpful, but not required.


Once you discover how comfortable, well-fitting and beautiful hand- knit socks are, you’ll never be able to wear anything else! You will learn the process of special cast on for a stretchy cuff, the classic turned heel, wedge toe decreases, and the Kitchener Stitch using DPN’s (double pointed needles).

We’ll make a small sock in this class with instructions given for any size sock. Materials list for needed supplies given at registration

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN TAKING CLASSES AT NW HANDSPUN YARNS:
1.    Class fee must be paid in advance to register for classes, no later than 3 days prior to the start of the class. Cancellation of class by student must be prior to 3 days for refund. No refund for class if student cancelled within three days of the start of class.
2.    Minimum class enrollment : 3 students.
3.    Please arrive to class 10 minutes prior to the start of class, so class can begin on time.
4.    Materials list for the class will be provided to each student at the time of registration
5.    Please gather/purchase your materials ahead of class time.
6.    Classes are structured for: (b) beginner, (i) intermediate, (a) advanced
