NW Handspun Yarns - Ownership changes and looking forward
From Nancy—Some people say that autumn time is like New Year’s, and I fall into that category. I’ve always seen fall as the beginning of a new year. It coincides with the schools starting, and after a summer time of fun and good weather it’s time to start again with the routines of fall and beginning winter. For those of you who do not yet know of the biggest change for me and the shop: the shop has SOLD to a new owner! You know the new owner: Meg! She has worked with many of you to select knitting projects, support you in your weaving, and repair your spinning wheels. When I decided that it was time for me to move on after 10 years of loving and doing this shop, Meg stepped up and will continue our LYS!So, as you flock back to the shop this year for your autumn projects, please welcome Meg with your support! She will continue to make this shop all that you have loved and appreciated. I thank you for your support and learning so much from YOU all!For more information about my transition, please go to my blog at blogger: “As the Wheel Turns.” I will continue to be around, as this is MY LOCAL YARN SHOP, where I buy materials and teach! Happy days to you all as you follow your fiber dreams! —Love, NancyFrom Meg—Greetings! I am excited (and slightly terrified) at the idea of taking the helm of our wonderful shop. I have learned many lessons since we opened full time 5 years ago, the most important of which being how interconnected we all are. A day doesn't go by in the store where connections aren't made and usually they are surprising (sometimes they are unexpected). So much in life boils down to community and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to continue to be a part of the culture of NW Handspun Yarns. I am looking forward to many more years sharing my home-away-from-home with you all! Thank you for giving me the opportunity. I'm looking forward to it! —Meg
